BUDDING entrepreneurs have been getting to grips with the cut and thrust of business and yesterday showcased their success at Bacton Middle School’s enterprise evening.

Students in Year 7 have spent the past three months preparing their business cases, seeking funding from a local bank manager and designing and creating products ranging from cakes, hand puppets and mobile phone holders,to photo frames and bird boxes.

Head of technology Kirsty Wakefield said the pupils had become totally absorbed in the projects and the annual event was expected to prove very popular with the poublic who last year were queueing outside the sschool ahead of the evening.

The PTA provided funding for the enterprises and 36 bsuiness stalls were set up.
