An environmentally driven company which runs energy and water saving programmes for businesses and homes is already forecasting £1 million in sales after just 18 months trading.

SaveMoneyCutCarbon, based in Fornham St Genevieve, has seen demand for its products increase 10-fold over the past year and has managed energy and water savings schemes for every Radisson Blu and Park Inn hotel in the UK and Ireland.

Recently it presented a ‘Green Hotel of the Year’ accolade to London’s prestigious Savoy Hotel as part of the European Hospitality Awards.

Mark Sait, managing director, who founded the company with business partner Charlie Farr, said: “Business, especially 24/7 operations like hotels, are really suffering from increasing utility bills and green taxes so we help them to dramatically reduce energy and water consumption - like lighting, heating, showers and taps.

“We’re also working with the 21 properties in the Puma Hotels Collection, where our water-savings solution have delivered more than £100,000 reduction in bills inside eight months, with full return on investment in six months, and ongoing savings every day.”

The company is also branching out working with owners of office buildings, car parks and completed a full LED lighting installation of a major Ford car dealership on the South Coast as well as an LED lighting retro-fit of an amusement park.

It provides a similar service to domestic customers through its website which features a calculator that shows every customer how much they will save in energy and water bills through the products.

The programmes help to cut CO2 emissions substantially.

Holden Cook, the company’s head of projects, added: “It is great that the business is growing so fast, new staff are joining every month and we’re delivering real value to our customers and doing our bit to help the planet. It’s a good feeling.”
