MP Elizabeth Truss has been selected by the Conservative Party to stand for reelection in South West Norfolk in 2015.
Chairman of the South West Norfolk Conservative Association, Kay Fisher, said: “Elizabeth is an excellent constituency MP and since being elected in 2010 has worked extremely hard for local people here in South West Norfolk.”
Ms Truss said: “I am keen to work with local people and businesses to secure further improvements to our infrastructure, especially an upgrade to the A47 and local train services.
“My attention is also on health, seeking improvements to the Queen Elizabeth hospital and out of hours services.
“I will work to ensure that the benefits of the next generation aircraft at RAF Marham benefit the local economy - in particular ensuring youngsters have access to engineering roles and high quality apprenticeships at the base.”
Ms Truss also serves as a minister in the Education Department.
