YOUNGSTERS are getting creative during the summer thanks to holiday workshops being run in Bury St Edmunds. Children attending the Little Squigglers session this week were absorbed in making their own mini hobby horses and felt brooches.

The classes are being run by Amanda Wigzell, whose Little Squigglers business recently won a Netmums online vote.

Amanda has been running classes for pre-school age children but this summer is also holding creative workshops for older children between five and 12.

The workshops are being run over the next two weeks with morning sessions for children aged five to eight and the afternoon for those between seven and 12.

On Tuesday, youngsters were at Abbots Green Primary School, Moreton Hall where they enjoyed the textiles class. On Tuesday, there will be a collage workshop at Moreton Hall Community Centre followed, on August 14, by a workshop on artists including Kandinsky and Matisse, also at the centre.

Sessions are £15, and £25 for two siblings.
