FOUR budding chefs from West Suffolk College have made it through to the final of a cooking competition organised by a master chef of Great Britain.
Participants worked in pairs to produce a main course and a dessert and had to select a wine to accompany their meal.
They were judged by master chef Murray Chapman – whose first commis chef’s position was at The Swan, in Lavenham – and local chefs and restaurateurs from Tuddenham Mill, Ickworth Hotel and The Angel Hotel.
Ryan Edgeworth, from Mildenhall, and Jake Brown, from Thetford, are among the finalists who, later this month, will compete for their chance to work for a week at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Yorkshire.
They will be joined by Chris Murcott, from Glemsford, and Blakenee Green, from Barningham.
