THEY’VE been number crunching again as pupils at St James’ Middle School in Bury St Edmunds have joined the top young mathematicians in the country.
The Junior Maths Challenge is run for the most able amthematics students in years 7 and 8 and St James has previously brought home some winning accolades in the event.
This year team gold went to George Martin, Joshua Moore and Eben Robson who received a gold award in the event run by the UK Mathematics Trust.
Pupils at the school also went on to bring back 13 silver awards and 20 bronze awards. This has put the students in the top third of the country in the challenge results.
