A PRIMARY school is all set to face historic changes in Suffolk’s education system after two new buildings were finished.
Staff and pupils at Lakenheath Community Primary School toasted the building of two new classrooms and an extension to the main hall last Friday.
The revamp is part of Suffolk’s School Organisational Review which will see the school take on two extra age groups from next year.
Snipping the ribbon on the new buildings was Graham Cook, believed to be the oldest resident in Lakenheath who attended the primary school.
Emma Vincent, headteacher, said the classrooms would provide space for a range of new activities.
“We are very pleased with the extension and it’s an exciting time, especially with Years 5 and 6 at the school for next year,” she said.
