The beats of Brazil gripped Cockfield Primary as pupils embraced samba for a day.

Each class learnt basic samba rhythms before practising songs linked to their respective topics.

Pupils in Years 3 and 4 developed a tune about recycling and crafted instruments from recycled materials.

Children in Years 2 to 4 then put together a performance for parents. Meanwhile, Reception and Year 1 youngsters enjoyed forest school music - playing music using objects oustide. The day was led by instructor Chris Sodey.
