A SCHOOL threw open its doors to give parents and residents the chance to marvel at pupils’ creative work at a colourful art exhibition.
All the children at Guildhall Feoffment Primary School, in Bridewell Lane, Bury St Edmunds, showcased their innovative endeavours at the event.
Some of the art was based on the work of renowned artists.
Pupils in Years 3 and 4 followed in the footsteps of painter Bridget Riley while others drew inspiration from the vivid and groundbreaking pop art movement.
Among the many highlights at the exhibition was a dragon created by early years pupils as well as pots designed by Year 3 and 4 children using malleable materials.
Parents were invited to the exhibition for a day last week as well as residents from the local neighbourhood.
Flyers were distributed from the school to local households about the event.
Headteacher Sue Herriott said: “All children contributed to the exhibition.
“They thought it was wonderful.
“They were very excited and proud to be able to share their work with their parents, friends and residents.”
