Amber Harvey is aiming to lose 20 inches off her long hair and help raise money for a charity which supports children with cancer. And her pupil friends at Wickhambrook Primary School gave her a helping hand with a whacky hair day at school raising around £150 towards her £1,500 target. Amber, who was this year’s Carnival Princess, aims to regrow the hair which will create three real hair wigs under The Little Princess charity scheme. Her hair will be cut on August 26 at The Greyhound pub with an afternoon of entertainment. Amber’s headteacherGeorgina Ellis said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed the day and Amber explained what this was about at an assembley earlier in the week.”
