Young performers learnt gravity defying moves during a break dancing workshop led by a professional company.
Fourteen pupils at King Edward VI and Hardwick Middle Schools, in Bury St Edmunds, were taught a variety of techniques by Bboy’s Attic at the Apex,
The company, who took time out of their rehearsal time before performing a show at the venue, also discussed the role of a professional break dancer.
Helen Frost, subject leader for dance at King Edward VI School, said: “It’s opened up their thinking in terms of dance. With break dancing there’s a focus on the strength as well as the musicality.”
The schools are part of the Bury Schools Partnership.
