CREATIVE Primary schools pupils have turned litter into literature after winning a district-wide competition.

Children from Redcastle Furze Primary in Thetford have been awarded £30 of book tokens after they won Breckland Council’s anti-litter poster contest.

The school produced a poster concept that would help educate other children about the problems with litter and to encourage recycling.

Cllr Lynda Turner, executive member for Communities and Environmental Wellbeing, said: “Each winning design shows real creativity and helpspromote anti-litter messages to other children.”
