Pupils and parents will scale new heights in aid of two projects at the Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds.

The group from Cherry Trees Prep School and Montessori Nursery plan to climb the 1,085m Mount Snowdon - the tallest mountain in Wales - from May 25 to 28.

Money raised will benefit the theatre’s Costume Creators which allows young people with mild to moderate learning difficulties to take part in work experience and assist in the running of the wardrobe department.

It will also go to the weekly Theatre Makers club attended by more than 130 five to 12-year-olds who learn about team building, confidence and self expression through creative activities.
