MATHS plus creative activities equalled fun learning for children at a village school.
Ixworth Primary School enjoyed a week of morning mathematical activities with puzzles, games and special visitors.
Highlights included an enterprise project with each class developing a product using £10 donated by the school’s friends group.
The items, such as edible and felt Christmas tree decorations, will be sold at a festive fair on December 9 from 6-8pm.
Pupils also took part in a numeracy trail and in mixed groups produced maths games.
They enjoyed visits from the Puzzle Company, a parent who works at Barclays Bank and a school governor who is a quantity surveyor.
Using their maths skills, the children also made stars to decorate the school.
Lorraine Downes, organiser and Year 1 teacher, said: “It was about developing their enjoyment of maths, thinking and teamwork skills.”
