WITH just 384 days until the 2012 Olympics get under way in London, a buzz of excitement is already sweeping the country.

More than 200 pupils from Cedars Park Community Primary School, in Stowmarket, got involved with a special Olympic-inspired activity as part of National School Sport Week last week.

Supported by Lloyds TSB, the school celebrated with two sports days, a record-breaking skipping contest and a design competition.

Children got arty as they designed outfits for the 2012 Olympic mascots, Wenlock and Mandeville, to be in with a chance of winning their very own mascot. And a selection of the designs were on display at the Stowmarket Lloyds TSB branch on Friday for a special presentation.

A number of the pupils were presented with commemorative medals for their colourful designs, which were blown up for all to see.
