AMILDENHALL teacher has been asked to give her view on one of TV’s best-loved detectives.

Kathy Warren, head of English at Mildenhall College of Technology, was interviewed for an ITV special celebrating 25 years of Inspector Morse.

Dr Warren was asked to give her views on her friend, and Morse scribe, Colin Dexter, and to comment on the original novels from a literary point of view.

Dr Warren attracted plenty of attention while being filmed in a busy bookshop – while Mr Dexter slipped by the crowds.

“Customers stopped to wonder whether I was famous, whilst Colin, rather endearingly, sat unnoticed outside the shop waiting to catch his bus home,” she said.

The ITV programme – Morse’s Oxford – will air in March.
