PUBLIC consultation meetings over plans to close St Louis Middle School in Bury St Edmunds, as part of a Catholic schools shake up, take place over the next two weeks.
There will be a meeting at St Edmunds Primary School on Monday, at St Benedict’s Upper School on Tuesday and at St Louis Middle School on March 30. All meetings take place from 6.30pm to 8pm and the Diocese of East Anglia and Suffolk County Council will be on hand to answer questions.
A campaign group is urging residents as well as parents to attend the meetings.
“We particularly want people to attend the meeting on Monday. The diocese is looking to put an extra 120 pupils into St Edmunds. We fell the impact on local residents will be a nightmare,” said Sarah Truman from the SOS St Louis group.
