Hartest Primary School/Ickworth Park Primary School

Dedicated, strong and enjoyable were just some of the qualities highlighted in recent Ofsted inspections, where Hartest Primary School and Ickworth Park Primary School scored highly.

Ickworth Park Primary School was rated outstanding in nine categories in the inspection on January 10 and 11, including overall personal development and well-being of pupils, the standards pupils achieve and the care, guidance and support they receive from teaching staff.

In his report, inspector Nick Butt said: "This is a good school with many strengths. Pupils thoroughly enjoy school and make good progress, attaining exceptionally high standards by the end of Year 4."

Marion Miles, headteacher, said: "We are extremely pleased with the Ofsted report and glad issues such as the high standards pupils achieve and their

personal development and well being have been rated highly.

"Hard work, commitment and working as a team has helped us to achieve this great report and it just shows what you can do when everyone works together."

After Hartest Primary School's inspection on January 15, it was rated outstanding for the positive contribution pupils make to the community, the

partnership work undertaken to promote pupils' well-being and the effective and efficient use of resources.

Inspector Kathleen Yates said: "There is a great sense of teamwork within this

happy school, where everyone is highly valued and included."

Penny Easting, headteacher, said: "We encourage our pupils to be aware of their surroundings and think about others as they are the next generation and the future is in their hands.

"We are very pleased with the report, which has recognised the achievements of the pupils, parents and staff."
