Elveden Primary School

A school, which 'feels very much like a family', has been classed as good overall in an Ofsted inspection.

Inspector Colin Henderson found Elveden Primary School had a 'vibrant, happy, learning atmosphere' with pupils working hard to succeed.

The achievement and standards section of the report shows improvements have been made in maths and reading.

Pupils who have learning difficulties or disabilities benefit from good support.

In a letter to pupils, Mr Henderson said: "I think that your learning is good. Your teachers make your lessons interesting and you try hard to do what your teachers ask.

"I agree with them that you could do even better in your writing. It is pleasing to note that work on this has already started."

Headteacher Karen Rees said she was delighted with the report and that it was down to the hard work of children and staff and the support the school received from families.
