Dragons, ceramics and fashion in art

ART students at West Suffolk College have been helpijng usher in the Year of the Dragon.

Some 60 art and design students took part in a three-week project on all things Chinese and this week the results of their imaginative work went on show at Leonardo House at the college in Out Risbygate.

Students studying fine art created ceramics while those working in 3D created Chinese dishes. Graphics students created Chinese lanterns using computer-generated images and fashion students made paper garments.

Among the most dramatic pieces were giant dragon heads made using recycled materials.
