Course for youngsters

THE Prince’s Trust has teamed up with the NHS to help young people in Bury St Edmunds kick start a career in the health service.

The Trust is inviting 16-25-year-olds to take part in its free four-week programme running at West Suffolk College and West Suffolk Hospital from February 27.

The Get into the NHS programme gives young people the opportunity to gain qualifications in customer service, literacy and numeracy and gain essential skills needed for work in hospital and community services.

Young people taking part will also complete a two week work placement.

Graham Ball, regional director for the trust, said: “Courses such as this give participants confidence and motivation.”

A taster day on the course is being run on February 21 and people can register by contacting Richards Bertram on 07919 352491 or 01473 228844.
