A School, which has seen pupil numbers continue to rise since it opened its doors a year ago, has been praised by Ofsted inspectors following its first inspection.
Cedars Park Community Primary, in Stowmarket, opened its doors with 57 pupils. Since then, the school has seen pupil numbers double and in a recent Ofsted report, headteacher Clare Robinson and her staff, were commended for 'integrating pupils quickly without their progress dipping'.
Kathleen Yates, who inspected the school last month, described it as a 'good school' with a 'calm and positive climate for learning', where pupils are 'highly valued and behave well'.
Standards were above average in writing but a higher level of achievement was needed in reading.
Staff were commended for their quality of teaching.
Staff teaching Foundation Stage children were the most highly praised.
The inspector said they had 'an enthusiastic and inspirational manner', planned activities meticulously and gave children an 'amazingly wide range of learning experiences'.
The headteacher also received a glowing report as an 'inspirational leader', who had a clear vision for the direction of the school.
Ms Robinson said: "It is due to the joint commitment and hard work of our whole school community, the staff, parents, governors, friends and, of course, the children which has made Cedars Park a good
school."
Last Tuesday, pupils took part in a Santa Run to raise money for charity Optua.
