A YOUNG student from Stowmarket High School has scooped the top prize in a national journalism competition.
Harry Hogg, a Year 9 student, won the prize after submitting a news report about a mock criminal trial which took place at school.
Judge and reporter Tom Whitehead, from the Daily Telegraph, judged Harry’s report the best out of entries from across the country.
Harry will receive his prize – a shield, certificate and book token – at a presentation at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court later this month.
Jenny Turner, teacher and court competition co-ordinator, said: “It is a very special honour to know that Harry’s work was the best.
We are very proud of his achievement.”
