THE CIRCUS has been in town all week for a Bury St Edmunds school.

As part of the school’s summer term project Roll Up! Roll Up!, Abbots Green Community Primary School on Moreton Hall, has had a circus in school for a week.

The troupe arrived on Monday, setting up their Big Top on the school field.

During the week, the performers put on circus skills workshops for all the children, teaching them some of the tricks they learned for their own shows.

The week ended with some of the students showing off their newly acquired skills alongside the troupe themselves as part of a real live circus performance.

There was a special school assembly held in the Big Top and the pupils had the opportunity to quiz the performers during ‘hot-seat’ interview sessions.

Professional performances will run from Thursday to Sunday, with tickets on sale to both parents and the public.
