It was a great day for pupils, mums and dads and teddies when Barrow Primary School held its sports day.

Children enjoyed traditional races as well as team events with sports leadership from County Upper School students also part of the Bury St Edmunds Academy Trust.

Children also enjoyed a teddy bear bed push where they raced each other in specially converted trollies.

Families then enjoyed a summer fete and barbecue and the day raised £68 for the West Suffolk Hospital charity.

There were also parent and staff races with staff offering plenty of entertainment as they ran the three-legged race.

Headteacher Alison Earle said: “It was a happy afternoon for everybody to be involved in and I think it was enjoyed by everyone.”
