Two primary schools are the first in Suffolk to win an award for keeping families at the heart of their work.

Barrow Primary and Chilton Primary, in Stowmarket, received the Families First accolade - developed by the National Association of Family Information Services with Suffolk County Council.

Alison Earl, head at Barrow, said she will use the skills learnt at Tollgate Primary, in Bury, where she is executive head.
