Barnham Primary School
Barnham Primary School is top of the class after receiving a glowing Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education) report.
Strong teamwork and skilled teachers were just some of the qualities highlighted by inspector Martin Beale, following his visit in February.
The school scored 'outstanding' in the personal development and well-being section of the report and 'good' in all other areas.
The report found parents were delighted with the way the school helps their children to develop and praised the quality of teaching and pupil care.
In a letter to pupils, Mr Beale said: "You make good progress during your time at school and are prepared well to take the next steps in your education.
"You thoroughly enjoy school, attend regularly, work very hard and behave extremely sensibly. Your teachers provide many interesting tasks to help you learn and and you clearly enjoy extra activities, such as visits to places like Kentwell Hall.
"You take your responsibilities as school and house councillors seriously and make a very considerable contribution to the life of the school and the village."
Headteacher Helen Wojciechowski said: "We are very pleased. It is a good reflection of the commitment and hard work of the staff, pupils and parents.
"We are really pleased with the outstanding judgment on the pupils' personal development. The children are very responsible and mature.
This gives us a good platform to build on to make the school even better for the future."
