A taste of China comes to school
Ickowrth Primary School has been given a free Chinese language and cultural taster course after winning a competition.
Ickworth Park Primary School and King Edward V1 School have been selected to take part in a cross cultural project organised between Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk county councils and China.
Under the scheme children wiill receive a free Chinese language and cultural taster course this summer delivered by the Essex Jiangsu centre for Chinese studies.
This is part of a long term strategy linking regional business, education and industry with Jiangsu Province,
Here children at Ickworth Park enjoyed a mini taster session of what is to come in the summer.
County councillor Judy Terry, cabinet member for economic development, and Zhong Wang visited the school on Monday to mark its selection.
