EASTER celebrations with a twist of history were in full swing over the bank holiday weekend.
Visitors to West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village could try their hand at quill making, antler carving and leather work during a craft workshop on Saturday.
It was a chance for people to experience life as it may have been for Anglo-Saxons in the village.
Stowacynn, a costume group, and West Stow’s own Anglo-Saxon family, occupied the village and were demonstrating Anglo-Saxon skills.
Gill Hawkins, from St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s heritage service, said: “Easter weekend is always busy and it has been traditional to have the market there, but this year they introduced the Saturday event to create a whole buzzy weekend.”
