Police are issuing an E-fit likeness of a man they would like to speak to following a robbery in Bury St Edmunds at the weekend.

The incident happened at around 12.30am on Saturday October 11 in Newmarket Road.

The victim, a woman in her 20s, had pulled over in a layby opposite Kwik-Fit to use her mobile phone, when a man opened the driver’s door, leaned in and grabbed her around the throat demanding money.

The victim gave the man her purse from which he removed about £95 in cash. He then threw the purse back and ran off in the direction of Bury.

The suspect is described as white, in his late 20s, with blonde hair shaved at the sides and combed over, and facial stubble. He was wearing a blue zip Adidas top and black jogging bottoms.
