A LITHUANIAN drink-driver ran from the scene of an accident after being asked if he needed an ambulance, a court has heard.
On Tuesday, at Bury Magistrates’ Court, Vaidas Kaminskis, 38, of Lincoln Way, Thetford, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol on July 29. He recorded 84 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
He received a £300 fine and a driving ban of 20 months, to be reduced by five on completion of a driver’s rehabilitation course.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to stop after an accident, for which he was fined £100 and had his licence endorsed, and to driving without insurance. He was told to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
