Lakenheath Primary School has been given a £200 donation to improve playtime.

The donation from Sainsbury’s supermarket in Mildenhall will pay for new markings on the playground.

Headteacher, Emma Vincent, said: “It’s something we have been wanting to do for a while the old ones have gone past their sell by date. It will give more activity at break and lunchtime.”

A hundred square, some hopscotchs and a time game will be painted on to the playground.

Sainsbury’s store manager, Steve Plumridge, said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we do as much as we can to support it. When we heard about Friends of Lakenheath Primary School we were pleased to help out,”
