Walkers are urged to don pink for an annual event at Ickworth House in aid of plans for the UK’s first centre of excellence for secondary breast cancer.

The Walk on the Westside, organised by Suffolk Breakthrough Breast Cancer and sponsored by Denny Bros, on May 15 offers a four or 11 mile route.

It will boost funds for a centre for research against secondary breast cancer, which event organiser Bonk Tasker says ‘remains incurable and claims 1,000 lives every month’. She said: “We hope the walk will help raise funds that are more essential than ever to build this incredible centre.”

Entry is £35 including coffee, water, a walk snack and lunch. Visit www.suffolkbreakthroughevents.co.uk/walk-on-the-westside/
