Dogs had their day at Eastgate Veterinary Group in Bury St Edmunds with a total makeover for pooches which raised funds for animal charities.
Staff at the practice raised more than £200 for the RSPCA and Bury’s Stray Cat Fund.
Lucky pooches entered on a red carpet and then underwent a nail clip, ear clean, shampoo and blow dry before leaving thtough a tinsel door sporting a pink or blue bow attached to their collar.
There were cakes for sale and a tombola to help swell the funds and a specially made Westie cake was donated.
Catherine Marsh and Donna Hobbs at the practice organised the day and Donna said: “It was the first time we’ve ever done something like this and I think staff and client agree it was a great success. We hope to repeat it again.”
