STAFF at Asda are taking part in a wacky party-dance fund-raising idea in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Workers at the Bury St Edmunds store are planning a colourful conga line and they need customers, fund-raisers and local people to join in.
The conga, which will take place on July 24 at 2pm, is raising cash as part of the hospice’s Towergate Accumulator Challenge, which kicked off on June 2. The challenge aims to turn a £50 business stake into as much money as possible.
Chirs Holmes, Asda community champion, is organising the conga. He said: “We urge everyone within the town to join us on what will be a fun-filled afternoon.
“This colourful dance will be an easy and enjoyable way to support the hospice.”
The line – kitted out in fancydress, hopefully – will start at Asda and make its way into the Howard Estate.
Registration costs £4 and the first 100 people to raise £40 in sponsorship will get a goodie bag and certificate. Registration for the conga closes on July 11.

So put your best foot forward and get in line to take part in the charity conga. You, you, you – come on and join the conga.
