A vintage tractor run has raised £2,300 for the diabetes department of West Suffolk Hospital.

It was organised by patient David Kidd and his frtiend David Boggia who live in East Harling.

They staged the run on Boxing Day and 160 vehivles completed a 15 mile circuit from The Angel at Larling.

Those taking part paid an entry fee and Eileen Kidd and June Boggia collected money along the route.

A cheque was presented to Mandy Hunt, diabetes specialist nurse at the hospital, and the money will be used to buy books and other educational material for patients.

The two Davids have been organising the tractor run for around 10 years and select a different charity to benefit.

Mr Kidd has been receiving diabetes care at the hospital for the past 10 years and the donation was a thank you to the hospital.
