A father of two who wrote to car bodyshops offering to work for free in order to gain experience, has finally bagged the job of his dreams.
Ben Griffiths learnt bodywork skills at Ipswich College but was unable to get a job afterwards and so decided to apply for every bodyshop job he saw advertised, offering to work for free.
Revive! in Bury St Edmunds took him on and after six weeks owner David Dunn has offered him a technician’s job.
“I am just so happy I can’t quite believe it yet,” said Ben. “The job is like a dream come true and I am very grateful to David for giving me the chance.
“I am delighted to be part of such a great company that is going places. My aim is to work hard to get more customers and help build the business.”
Mr Dunn took voluntary redundancy from the Royal Mail last year to set up the business which specialises in repairing minor scuffs and scrapes to vehicle bodywork and alloy wheels.
