The daughters of two women who raised thousands of pounds for St Nicholas Hospice Care are following in their mums’ footsteps.

Milly Rush and Georgie Turpin this week presented the charity with £6,100 which was raised from a fund-raising ball at Alpheton Hall Barns last November.

The event raised money for the hospice and the Motor Neurone Disease Association, inspired by the courage of Suzie Rush, Milly’s mother of Bradfield St George, who died last October after a four year battle with MND.

It was after her diagnosis that Suzie and best friend Debs Turpin, Georgie’s mum, did The Two Pink Ladies Challenge travelling from John O’Groats to Lands’ End on quad bikes and raising £30,000 for the hospice.
