The Royal Marines’ Band had people dancing in the aisles when it appeared at The Apex over the weekend.
The concert was in aid of Help for Heroes and Bury St Edmunds Sea Cadets’ fund raising for a new headquarters.
The cadets’ drums and glockenspiels joined the marines on stage, earning praise from band members and the audience.
Cadets’ fund raiser John French said: “It was fantastic for the young people to play on the same stage as the Royal Marines.”
He thanks the many sponsors of the event, who included Greater Anglia and Greene King, who provided meals for 52 marines at The Greengage, Spread Eagle and Mason’s Arms pubs.
