Emergency services are at the scene of an accident involving a car and a cyclist on the A1075 at Thetford.

Police were called by the ambulance service to reports of a collision between a silver Vauxhall Astra and a cyclist at 8.50am.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said the cyclist had suffered ‘serious injuries’ and was being treated by paramedics.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) treated a man, believed to be in his 40s, who had a cut to his head and a suspected broken leg.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, for further treatment and is not thought to have sustained life-threatening injuries.
