A MOTHER and daughter from Stowmarket have launched a fund-raising campaign before embarking on a marathon charity challenge.
Alison, 48, and 24-year-old Becky Salmon are hoping to raise cash for three cancer charities with the help of Stowmarket Football Club and launched their campaign at the club on Saturday.
The duo will be cycling 350km in India next year and hope to raise £10,000.
Alison, 48, from Stowmarket, said: “Becky works in the histology lab at West Suffolk Hospital and sees the beginning of people’s journey with cancer. I’m a district nurse and see the end stages of some people’s journeys. It’s an area we are both very passionate about.”
They raised £800 from a family fun day last month and have a belly dancing night planned at the football club on November 12. To make a donation ask at the football club.
