Valuable fish stolen from Ixworth pond

Police are appealing for witnesses after a large quantity of valuable fish were stolen out of a garden pond in Ixworth.

The fish, valued at about £3,000, were taken between 3.30pm on Monday and 3.30pm Wednesday from an address in Peacock Rise.

The rear and side gates to the garden were found open and all the fish from the pond had been removed. One of the fish was found dead on the grass and a polythene bag had been left in the pond.

The stolen fish included six koi carp and a mixture of comet and fan tail goldfish, grass carp and wild tench.
