Trading standards has conducted a raid on a Mildenhall house following a tip off about illicit tobacco sales.
During the raid, on May 9, officers seized a quantity of tobacco, which will be sent for further analysis.
The owner of the property will be contacted to attend a formal interview.
Trading Standards were assisted in the raid by Suffolk Police.
Preventing the sale of illegal tobacco, especially to children, is a priority of Mildenhall Safer Neighbourhood Team.
Inspector Matt Rose said: “We are very proud of the relationship we have Trading Standards and other partners and we will continue to work effectively with them to target the sale of counterfeit /contraband tobacco, which harms children and denies the UK Government millions of pounds in revenue.
“Anyone with any information can contact Suffolk Police on 101.”
