A DAYLIGHT attack on a teenage girl has prompted a police plea for information.

Walking along a bridleway at around 6am on Sunday June 19 near Hundred Acre Way in Red Lodge, the girl was grabbed by a man who then attempted to force himself upon her. The girl fought him off and ran from the scene.

The man is described as being white, of thin build, in his twenties and tall with rough bony hands and a deep voice. He was wearing a black hooded top, blue jeans, black Nike trainers and ski mask.

A police spokesman said: “The incident was reported to Suffolk Police a number of days after it occurred and as such detectives have had to ascertain exactly what has taken place and construct an accurate sequence of events.

“Our officers have already explored a number of lines of enquiry and are now asking for information from members of the public.”

Anyone with information can contact Detective Inspector Andy Footer at Bury St Edmunds CID on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
