A 13-year-old boy has been bitten by a dog while riding his bike in Wamil Way.

A 13-year-old boy has been bitten by a dog while riding his bike in Wamil Way.

Police in Mildenhall would like to speak to the owner of the dog following the incident at about 8.15am on Monday.

Police have said the boy was riding his bike along a cycle path and slowed down as he went to overtake a woman walking a Jack Russell type of dog.

As he went around her the dog jumped up and grabbed hold of the boy’s leg. He managed to brush the dog off and the woman said sorry before walking off towards Wamil Court.

The boy then realised that his leg was bleeding and had to attend the doctors to get the wound dressed.

Police would like to speak to the dog owner regarding this incident. She is described as white, in her mid-forties, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall, with brown/greying shoulder length hair.

The dog owner, or anyone else who has information about this incident, is asked to contact PC Alan Kemp at Mildenhall Police Station on 101 quoting reference MH/14/796.
