POLICE are still investigating a stabbing incident in Bury St Edmunds in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Two men were arrested after a 20-year-old reported he had been assaulted at Plumptons Court.
He arrived at West Suffolk Hospital with stab wounds to his groin and butocks although police originally said the injuries were not life-threatening or changing, they said today (Wednesday) that they were now considered potentially life-changing and he is still in hospital.
An 18-year-old man from the Bury St Edmunds area and a 19-year-old man from London were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They were questioned at the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre then released on bail to reappear there on September 14.
A cordon remained at Plumptons Court until the morning rush hour, while police conduct initial enquiries and scenes of crime officers examined the area.
