A MAN who drove while over the drink-drive limit has admitted responsibility for causing a crash, a court heard.
Aleksandr Zapolskij, 33, of Star Road, Peterborough, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Tess Mann, prosecuting, that said at about 5.15am on November 12, Zapolskij caused an accident in Kiln Lane, Thetford, because he was driving on the wrong side of the road.
No-one was injured in the collision.
Mrs Mann said that Zapolskij admitted he had been drinking and was breathalysed, recording a reading of 73 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35 micrograms.

Zapolskij was disqualified from driving for two years, to be reduced by six months on satisfactory completion of a driving rehabilitation course.
He was fined £250 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.
