Man accused of dangerous driving sent to Crown Court

A MAN accused of dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road traffic collision and common assault at the crash scene has had his case committed to Crown Court.

Anton Giles, 23,of Drayton Road, Norwich, formally of Queen’s Road, Bury, appeared at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Thursday April 28.

Giles faces charges of dangerous driving and failing to stop after an accident in Albert Cresent, Bury, on January 8.

He also faces two separate charges of failing to give a breath test and for assaulting a member of the public, John Darby.

Giles was released on unconditional bail and will appear before Ipswich Crown Court on Friday May 27.
