A BREAK-in at a house in Poplar Hill, Stowmarket is the latest in a series of incidents in the area.
The house was broken into between 9.30am last Saturday and 2.45pm the following day. Glass in a door was smashed to gain entry and a number of items were stolen, including speakers, clothing, jewellery, games consoles, cash, an mp3 player and a TV.
It occurred as Stowmarket Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) held a street meet in Hill Rise on Saturday to give residents advice following a series of burglaries in January.
Insp Tristan Pepper, head of mid Suffolk SNT, said: “I don’t have any concerns that there is a ‘spate’ of burglaries.”
