A former police officer has denied benefit fraud charges when she appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday.
Suzanne O’Connor, 50, of Church End, Depden, denied three allegations, said to have arisen because she failed to reveal that she was at the time receiving an occupational pension.
O’Connor is charged with knowingly making a false statement to obtain incapacity benefit, dishonestly submitting a claim for council tax benefit and making a false statement to obtain income support.
Defending, Stephen Dyble said O’Connor was a former police officer with no convictions against her. She was granted bail until her trial.
